About Us

Charlotte Bay Trading Company began operations in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1983. Today we are organized into three Divisions.

The Charlotte International Logistics Division concentrates on services that enhance the movement, handling, storage and distribution of various commodities. Within this structure is in-house trucking and freight property brokerage. Another important facet of this Division is that of handling ocean container freight.

Our full service Distribution Warehouse Division includes storage, order pick, labeling and other full service activities. Certified Hazmat (hazardous materials) storage and handling is a part of our daily activity.

Our Trucking Division, Sandpiper Express, provides custom freight hauling services including time sensitive and time scheduled transportation for JIT (just in time) operations to serve production lines. Sandpiper Express also provides distribution peddle runs for customer route deliveries along with regional LTL and trailer load services. Sandpiper Express is a US Customs bonded carrier as well as an authorized Hazmat hauler.
